LEXINGTON LIVE
CONTINUING A LEGACY
Lexington Live Community Theatre is Davidson County's newest performing arts organization. Originating around a committee table in 2018, Lexington Live produced its inaugural season with two productions, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Feb. 2019) and Closer Than Ever (Nov. 2019) at the Edward C. Smith Civic Center in Lexington, NC.
With support from the E.C. Smith Civic Center and the greater Lexington community, Lexington Live Community Theatre filed as an official 501 (3)(c) non-profit organization in December, 2019. Our mission is to educate, enrich, and entertain by engaging and uniting the diverse community of Lexington through the universal appeal of performing arts.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for the diverse population of Lexington and Davidson County to participate in and produce high quality community theater. Historically, when a community joins together in supporting and promoting the arts, it flourishes both culturally and economically. We believe an active, effective, inclusive inter-generational community theater program with regular productions goes hand in hand with the City of Lexington's plan for continued downtown revitalization.
All of Lexington Live's current productions take place at the cohab space Arts | Theatre 202 with Arts Davidson County which is located at 202 N Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292.
